Meet our 2025 YCC Crew

Amarissa archuleta

My name is Amarissa Archuleta, I’m from Chimayo, New Mexico. I am perusing a marketing and accounting degree from New Mexico State University. This is my first year as a YCC crew member I’m excited to be on the crew and continue to learn about Northern New Mexico’s land. My favorite hobbies are basketball, fishing, camping and being with friends and family. I enjoy being in nature especially hiking with my dog and planting flowers with my mom.

 
 
 
 
 

Kianna Duran

Hi, I’m Kianna Duran! I am born and raised in Espanola, New Mexico and I’m thrilled to be starting my first year as a YCC member. I am currently a junior at Northern New Mexico College majoring in Environmental Science. I have always loved the outdoors—especially camping, hiking, boating, and kayaking—which drew me to conservation work. This summer, I am looking forward to focusing on soil and water science and finding meaningful ways to connect that knowledge back to the local communities I grew up in.

 

Ian Gomez

My name is Ian Gomez, and I grew up on a ranch in Dulce, NM, with a strong passion for agriculture, conservation, and the outdoors. I enjoy fishing, working on my family’s ranch, working on vehicles, and learning new skills that help protect and improve our natural resources.

 

Aiden Martinez Salazar

I’m excited to begin my new position with the YCC, where I will be working alongside a team dedicated to preserving natural resources, maintaining public lands, and supporting environmental conservation projects. Through this opportunity, I look forward to building leadership, teamwork, and hands-on outdoor skills while making a positive impact in the community.

 

Jair Garcia

My name is Jair Garcia, and I am someone who enjoys staying active, learning new things, and pushing myself to improve. I like working hands-on, solving problems, and being part of a team. I am motivated to build new skills and gain experience that will help me in the future. This is my first time being part of the YCC program, and I am excited for the opportunity to challenge myself, meet new people, and make a positive impact while growing as a person and worker.

 

Naomi Velasquez

Hi, I am Naomi Velasquez! I was born and raised in La Mesa de Poleo, NM. I am a graduate from Coronado High School. I am very passionate about the outdoors and enjoy exploring nature whenever possible. This is my first year working with the YCC. I am very excited to be given this opportunity to better my personal and professional skills! I value growth, creativity, and staying connected with both my community and the world around me.

 

Julian Niño-Vigil

Hi, I'm Julian Niño-Vigil, and I grew up in Hernandez, NM. I've always been an outdoors person, love the water, and always love to improve myself and become better. This is my first year in the YCC position, and I'm very excited to work/learn with my fellow crew members to make an impact on our community and keep it thriving.
